@Ronmar and @GeneralDisorder, that new pressure transducer seemed to be the issue! I installed the 0-100 PSI version, fired the truck up and it worked. A big thanks goes out to all that assisted. John

Their guide does that the tone the way you describe. I ordered the 0-100 as mine is a tractor (M1088) and the stock setup “should” be programmed for 80ish PSI. If it’s wrong, I’ll replace it. I’ll post an update when this gets here on Saturday. Thanks. John

@Ronmar. I verified I have continuity between pins a, b and J on the ECU and the PCU pressure transducer harness pins a, b and c. Also, using the Spicer service manual, I verified that the wet tank pressure switch is opening and closing on or about the prescribed pressures. See the attached...

I am absolutely not opposed to this at all. Do you happen to have a link or picture of the how-to? Thanks. John

Roger on reducing to 125. I did take take that sensor off the PCU…and it was locked on there right. The only thing in it was a little moisture. I short it with some spray and reinstalled. At next opportunity I’ll check continuity. If that all checks out, do you suggest a new sensor? If so, do...

@Ronmar and @GeneralDisorder, my air governor is now outputting 130 PSI. I can tweak it a bit to get it to 125 if necessary. The PCU is out, disassembled and found, overall, it wasn’t too nasty inside but the valves were not easy to get out. Shots of air and lubricant freed them. I cleaned it...

@GeneralDisorder and @Ronmar. My wet tank pressure right at the drain is 111 PSI. Let me know if that is a good location to check. See picture on my setup. Looking at the TM, if appears I need to tweak the governor to ~120 PSI…is that correct? Thanks. John

UPDATE: when I use the jumper technique to inflate air, air leaks out of the rear dump valves, and a vent location behind the passenger headlight. I’ve found that I can completely stop the leaking air if I remove the compression nut and line from the PCU vent location. Simply loosening that...

I need to add info to this. No sir leaks when the jumpers are in H and R as long as the ignition switch is on. As soon as the switch is shut off, air leaks. The leak locations are the dump valves on both intermediate and rear axles and a location near the front headlight.

Well, using your awesome guidance above, I was able to successfully jump the 24 V power and control. While also testing the inflate and deflate function separately. I seem to have a problem right now because the dump valves are stuck open with the ignition turned off. Do you suspect I have a...

I hate to ask this, but if you have a tire that’s 10 PSI lower than the rest and I work the system as you describe above, is it correct to assume the air will take the path of least resistance (to the low tire) and the system will equalize eventually?

I should’ve asked, what do you mean by “compressor unload?”

Your comments about tank have me wondering…and it sucks that the TM doesn’t even mention it. I never tested it. I do know the pressure switch test in the TM showed it’s working. Am I correct to assume there’s a fitting present to hook up a gauge? If not, I suspect folks are just retrofitting...

Thanks. What documentation are you referring to? Dana Spicer and/or TM?

See attached picture. I got it from the TM as part of their "5 flashing CTIS lights" troubleshooting. It is located in the passenger footwell...the PCU? John

Answering your question...Pin Z was twisted with a wire in the harness...it didn't get joined to another pin on the plug end. Pin L on the plug is actually snipped at the back of the plug and is going nowhere. Also, thanks for the other information. I will have to chew on that after work. By...

Good morning, I have a 1998 M1088A0 with a CTIS issue—go figure. The ECU is flashing 5 lights. This site has assisted a bit in initial troubleshooting by providing the Dana troubleshooting guide as well as the TMs. Doing the first couple of steps in the TM lead me to an electrical issue. Why...
