Yep, they should use the same plug, yours is just hidden under the 24v cable…

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

Yep, circuit breakers. Those look a little more robust than the ones they used for the A0 panel. Mine are kinds cheesey:) You can replace them with standard automotive blade fuses. I would keep one in each size, as they can be handy troubleshooting intermittent faults.

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

The problem with water is it typically carries minerals and O2. Not to mention any phosphates or chemicals any soaps would carry. That is why saltwater is such a problem for circuit boards. If you use water I would reccomend distilled or demineralized and no soap. In my attempts to recover...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

91% iso should be ok, and should still evap relatively clean. that and a brush should clean that board right up. I use a 3/4-1” paint or chip brush and cut the bristles to 1/2 length to make them a little stiffer. I would dry brush it first, then use the brush dipped in alcohol. This will...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

Ok, the only time I have ever used freshwater on a circuit board was when I am trying to salvage one that has been immersed in salt water:) 99% isopropyl has been my goto cleaner for 99% of the time over the past 40 years. Doesn't leave any residue, doesn't interact with board, solder or...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

Isopropyl alcohol and a 1” paintbrush for the board cleaning. Disconnect the batteries first and until the board is completely dry:) Sounds like perhaps the alt excite relay(K11) was not feeding proper voltage to bring the alt online. It needs at least 22v at the excite terminal(front...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

What color were they flashing? They should be flashing green? The alt is a standlone device, the LBCD simply monitors its RPM and voltage output and commands the disconnect relay or lights the charge trouble light… yea the cab latch adjustment is mechanical, usually with the vertical...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

Like I said earlier, if the batteries are properly matched to the alt. 2 batts instead of 4, 100-120AH wet cell battery bank, the LBCD and the disconnect relay becomes unnecessary...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

The LBCD controls that charging system trouble light. It is looking for an acceptable voltage when it sees the alternator over 1500RPM. greater than 24.5V if I am reading the Neihoff manual correctly. If it drops to 20.5v it disconnects the battery and puts it on a trickle charge. If your...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

If you drop to two batteries, you can get rid of it entirely. The main purpose of that relay and the LBCD that controls it, was to disconnect a faulty battery from the alternator when it fails, to keep it from damaging the alternator and allowing you to continue the mission. if you properly...

    BATTERY DISCONN dash warning light

The battery disconnect light is controlled by the state of the disconnect relay in the box to the rear of the battery box… since all the 12 and 24v power passes thru it, if you are operating normally, it is obviouslay not disconnected, but that is where the idiot light is controlled from…
