    Off the shelf muffler options..

    It would be best just to get a real one, not many mufflers have the outlet at 90deg and that is not the only thing that makes it fit, plenty of used ones out there. I suppose you could jury rig something like the last owner did, then the next guy can feel the same way you feel about him.
