Thank You doghead. Now is a bypassed starter bad? I mean obviously it works, but is there any reason to get a new one and un-bypass it?

:doh:....thats why i said it whistles but it doesnt sound like alot of the whistlers ive heard before...nor as loud. Thats why im just trying to get some confirmation on what it is

Ok so i looked in this thread to see if i could ID my turbo...the links didnt quite help so heres a couple pics of my turbo... ...and what is this solenoid for? it was just bolted to the side of the motor but not hooked up to anything. When the truck runs, it does kind of whistle, but not...
