    12v bulbs for Composite Lights

    I picked up 1156 bulbs today to change out trailer lights to 12V. Fit in socket fine but mil 24V bulb has 2 elements. 1156 has 1 element. Both bulbs have one terminal on base of bulb. For mil do both elements light up (redundance)? This bulb turn signal/flasher and brake lamp? Civ bulb...
