I've read multiple different threads on here that indicate that 200 hp is about the best you are going to get out of an LDT-465 without destroying it. That being said, I've never noticed anyone saying anything about a dyno.

That might be my favorite page on Wikipedia. The funniest thing is that since I read that, I've noticed it happens a lot.
And there's the rub. I'm sure someone who knows what they are doing can safely "hotrod" a 465. But, in the end, what have you got? Maybe 200hp and a motor you have to be careful with to not blow it up?
Drop in a Cummins and be done with it.
From what all I have read and having driven mine on and off road, I'd say you're wasting your time trying to beef up the stock motor. It just wasn't designed for that type of performance.
