Can a mod edit this thread so the title doesn't say m38inmain still has CDR valves and his paypal and info isn't displayed?
Seems like since he doesn't have any more perhaps the folks who might have some should start their own threads and this one can die off.
Dig dig dig and find a 6.2L CDR valve. If not, 6.5L valve cover and use 6.5L CDR valves.
No, you can't clean them. GM and the military say that's a no no and that yes, you need them.
I believe the 6.2L HMMWV uses a different CDR valve...maybe? At any rate, I bet the military has a couple zillion of them sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
Then again they are phasing the 6.2L trucks out of the inventory or converting them to 6.5L.
Try GM. We had a few guys get theirs from Chevy dealers. Not cheap though.
Just spent 15 minutes digging through Rock Auto and yep, I think they ran out too.
My five arrived today. Thanks again to m38 for sending them again. Damn post office. Our tax dollars at work.
They're in AT LEAST the same condition as the NOS GM/ACDelco one I bought last year for four times his price. Great deal!
ACDelco no longer makes them and GM lists it as an obsolete part number. I think this has been the case for a while though. The same is with the 1/2 ton "C code intake" 6.2 CDR's and the various civilian "J code", van, and other 6.2L CDR's.
SOME GM dealers still have some in the system but...
