I have never had a problem with the spin on filters needing 'priming'. I just turn on the ignition, wait a few seconds and start it up.

If I have to come to NY to get those filters, you are going to be one sorry dude! If I have to change those stock filter cans with all that rust one more time, I am going Postal.

Kind of figure that it looks like this: ] The gasket fits inside the lip. Once you do it, a gasket will last for several changes. I still think the better solution is the spin on filters. Just wish they were being made, NOW!

Spin on secondary filters would make this thread obsolete, quickly!:wink: I hope it is not too 'long term' before we get some.

The gaskets fit in a groove on the can holder. I find using a small hook tool to remove them works fast. Putting them back simply means working them about until the fit into the groove. The groove is larger than the can neck.
