    No, 2 or 3 different stories here. The first two sets of photos are Soviet and were not originally part of the story. kcimb posted a set later that showed only the roof plate and road wheel of a Tiger. Pictures of the whole tanks are T34's.

    kcimb, That is a Tiger 1 turret roof, no doubt. Looks to be a late model 1944-45 based on the coupla and road wheels. Stunning that they got it.

    Not this story again. It isn't a Tiger, it's a T34. It was used by the Germans and based on the coupla was overhauled by the Germans. A unit was never mentioned but I suspect it was one of 60 T34's used by the 2nd SS Panzer Division.
