    Its the chevy pattern, but I would try to make the diesel work. I would check the return line to the tank. If it was blocked it would cause problems like the return check valve. Is the volume and fuel pressure ok to the injector pump ?

    If you have good fuel without any air to the injector pump, I would check the Injector Pump return line check valve. It is located on top of the Injector pump and has a rubber line with a clamp.
