Gen 1 light???
I fixed it some how.... Jumped the side the power was coming from to the side that wasnt getting power(ignition switch side) and now the light comes on when I turn the key. Then I changed the connection at the alt, the big red wire with a new better one and it works fine now. Kinda figured out... -

Gen 1 light???
OK that TM 34, the diagram on E-11 is the same ass what I got and the gen 1 light does not stop it continues to the fuse block, i believe heater fuse, and then to the ignition switch......makes no sense at all. Swapped the ignition switch put in a fuse praying I am done........wrong. I still... -

yeah i downloaded 34, no time to read Im off work by the time you read this. Tomorrow, thanks for the help. All that I did so far was trie track down the wire. I got lost at the wire that comes from the alt but started following this brown wire at the cluster assuming it is something. But it... -

Gen 1 light???
I got TM-9-2320-289-20, but that has so far gotten me no where. I got all the electrical tape off the wires under the dash, theres no going back now. Why would power stop at the bulb? Thats whats happening, the current stops at the bulb and is not continuing on to the brown wire which goes... -

Gen 1 light???
Ok so I just swapped out the alt. cuz it was only pushing 10.5 volts out. Then put in a new one and same thing the light comes on after you hit the gas and it starts charging. What are the point of those lights anyway? I ended up pulling the cluster and now the gen 2 light wont even come... -

Ok so I bump the throttle, almost to the rev limiter to get it charging and the light comes on. I just messed with the little connection on the back that has the red and brown wire in it and i dont think i got it in all the way now cuz the light doesnt come on but it doesnt charge either. Gen 1 light???
I just swapped a pair of alternators from one CUCV to another to get the gen. lights to shut off. Gen 2 works great but Gen 1 light comes on when its gen 1 starts charging? I thought they only come on when they are not charging. Any ideas before i take it out and something simple was wrong. Thanks
