    Painted the M35A3 Today (pics)

The 600 gallon fuel pods that we have are baffled but yes they do make the truck top heavy. The truck handles much better with just one. Where did you get your poly tanks and how many gallons are they? Those are nice looking trucks you have.

M35A3 Brush Trucks Two M35A3 Brush trucks in action on a wildland fire today. Three other departments came to help and one brought their A3 brush truck. This is the first wildland fire that our A3 has been on and it did great.

M35A3 Brush Truck On First Run We finally finished our M35A3 brush truck and put it in service a few days ago. Today I took it on its first call. We had a house fire. We were able to contain the fire to one room but there was extensive smoke damage throughout the rest of the house. Very sad...

After we got our M35A3 tanker in service the pump failed. Since we obtained an M916A1 that will be much better as a tanker, we decided to turn the M35A3 into a brush truck. We removed one of the 600 gallon tanks and created a caged area at the front of the bed for personnel to stand while...

I just drove the truck back to the fire department. Now we just need to move the hard top over from the A2, paint the tanks, install the radio, install the siren, run all of the plumbing, and install the pump. Hmmm, I think we need more hours in the day. ;-) Here are a couple more pictures...

We haven't filled these new tanks yet. They are 600 gallon tanks like we have on our A2. It is a pretty good load on the A2. It is always fun going up any kind of a grade on the way to a fire with a full load of water. Nothing like running code 3 at 20 mph. We have always joked...

We obtained it through the State Forestry Service.

    Painted the M35A3 Today (pics)

Well, we finally painted the M35A3 which we recently acquired for our volunteer fire department. Today the truck changed from camo to red. It isn't a show car paint job but it beats the paint job on our old M35A2 which had been applied with a brush.
