    As long as it is greater than 600 or 650 amps you are fine. A 1000 amp battery is a great choice.

    Also check the ground wires coming from the front battery, make sure all of the connections are tight, at the body and the wire that goes to the engine block.

    You need load test the batteries, take them to AZ and they will test for free, easier and cheaper than immediately changing the starter. Sometimes a bad cell in a battery can make it look good until it is under load. Clicking relays are usually a sign of low voltage. Could be a bad connection...
