ok i think that i found the problem i have 20 vac. going into the thing on the top front of the engine and only around 10 vac. comming out, and that is the line that funs to the trans.
should it be 20 in and out or is it right the way it is?
put in a new line and still low at the module, around 10 psi... any ideas
and does it have to be a steel line that i put in there or can i do rubber or something else?
i am showing a low vacuum at the modulator now is that a sign for bad line on the bottom or can that also be a bad modulator, (even know i just bought a new one but doesn't fit the line that was already there i had to mod it a lil bit.)
ok redid all of the hoses up top and checked the steel line and seems like no leaks, still having the same problem...
as it reves up i am getting like almost a kick down and gray smoke.
ok i will probably do that but how many vacuum hoses are there:
1 he metal one from the trans to up top
2 the rubber one from the metal one to the unit on the intake
3 the rubber hose from the unit on the intake that leads to the vacuum pump on the back of the engine.
is that all of them ?
well i just tested it and during idle it is showing around 20 vacuum.
for some reason it no longer makes the hiss noise when i turn off the truck.
but i do now notice a small amount at trans fluid at the top trans line on the trans, could a little leak be causing this or what other ideas do...
I checked around the ip they look good, and i looked at the crd it looks dirty but seems to be working.
and the hissing from what i can tell it comes from the driver side sear the area of the power steering pump. and are there any vacuum line diagrams so i can just go along and try and check...
ok well i replaced the vacuum module and the problem is still happening. but i noticed that when i shut off my engine i hear hissing in the front of the engine for about 5 or 10 seconds, would that be normal or a sign of a vacuum leak?
Ok so i was driving home the other day from school and my truck is shifting really hard and i have to let off the gas to get it from 2nd to 3rd. and as i am on the highway it doesn't want to go faster than 54mph and i have gray smoke coming out of the exhaust when i am going 54, is this a...
