It's just a rubber floor mat that came with the truck, nothing special. I originally intended to install the kit myself, but as soon as I opened the box I realized I was WAAAAY out of my league. The kit was $1000 from Nostalgic Air Parts, and I paid another $500 for the install.
Got the fatmat direct from their website. Here are a few updated pics of my truck. I realize the headliner looks a bit like hammered ass, but I also really don't care, as it's quite functional, and the day I try to pretty up my CUCV is the day I should drive it off a cliff!
Well, an update on my M1009. Since buying it in Nov 09 as a bone stock M1009 I've done the following:
1. Replaced the dash pad with a new production urethane one (allegedly UV proof, time will tell)
2. Added air conditioning by way of a Nostalgic Air Parts kit

i think it actually looks really good. did they put a/c in it? If not, it's gotta be a bear in the summer being black. Only thing I would be upset about is the removal of the brush guard
What about paint? The truck is already solid green, and the roof and hood are pretty sun rotted. I'm leaning towards going with some color other than green. Problem is I'd have to paint the interior as well, which I really don't want to do
Is it heresy to civilianize a M1009? The more and more I'm looking at where I want to go with it, the more it's starting to look like a more civilianized truck. I'd like some inspiration as to where to go with it.
