M103a1 or a2. Those uprights in the front hold a metal panel, which I have. Wish one of these would pop up around here. Steve

"...My own frame with a M105 bed. Dexter axle with electric brakes and hummer wheels...TobyS" I'd be interested in the specifics and measurements of the Dexter axle assembly. I'm thinking of replacing the ones on my 103s. Steve

I Should Stay Off the [private owner] Auction Sites I got in when it was at $67.00 OK, so I went ape and paid about 80% more than that. And .59 cents. One Deuce, so many lunettes, just one pintle. OK: 2 counting the Econoline. Steve

Pole trailers and bolster trailers are very cool. Last summer I came across one that found its way to a utility. I wanted the Ling's crew to warm to the idea of using one for a torpedo parade float, but . . . Steve

His might be longer but if you search the unmentionable auction site for "7.5' PAIR PLATED ALUMINUM ARCHED MOTORCYCLE ATV UTV TRUCK FOLDING LOADING RAMPS" you'll find a very good set rated at 1,500 lbs. I have them and they've served well for everything from [big] snowblower transport to...

Several of the Ling's people know it well, and I know of the Torsk through Maddog's posts here and one of their [former] volunteers stopped by the Ling over the summer. It's a bit of a haul between locations. Thanks. End of thread hijack. Steve

Worth mentioning that the guy on the right in photo 2 is a 94 y/o sub vet of the USS Lapon and saw duty in the Pacific. He shows up at the Ling EVERY Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 or so and does anywhere from 2 - 3 tours each day. The WWII Sub Vet flag is his. He donated another to the Navy sub...

GL Urchin to Billboard to Parade Float OK, so in its most recent configuration you can't really see it, but that's by design. Besides, the job I did on fixing this one up ran out of weather and calendar, so it's best that way. It'll be much more visible when it gets the 40mm Bofors and the...

Honestly, with a little imagination and elbow grease, I think a 116 can be more versatile as a utility/camper than a 101. Steve

I recall a thread w/ either a 116 or a 103 with sides and the like added on. Just can't recall the link, however. A search of the trailer forum should find it. Or you could just sell it to me. Certainly is nice. Steve

Somewhere on here there's a thread w/ photos of somebody who did just that. Saw it a couple years ago. Looked very much like the 103 above. The other possible variation is to make it a removeable stake-side with horizonal boards. Steve

Do you figure to straighten out that right front corner on the 416? I ask because I have a buddy with similar damage. His whole front panel is bellied out and the top roll is pulled out of place. Steve

Don't feel hosed, and it isn't limited to contractors. I have a 1951 M37 that was an Army rebuild and there's Army Bondo on the passenger's door. You can tell because it's an original Army paint job over top of it. I think these were probably surplussed out before they started with...

The other LM105 thread is at http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?101080-LM-105-Shelter-Trailer Neat. Seems like it might be tall for either a 135 or 211. Wonder what else might have towed it. Steve
