    MEP 002A and 003A

Always run at 60Hz to warm up and run. For a long-run and to compensate for voltage drop, you can boost to 61-62Hz (depends on run length and desired phase/voltage combination). But there is no reason to run the unit below 60Hz ever.

    MEP 002A and 003A

You should consider going the spin-on route and use 1 water separator and 1 filter...2 filters is a bit overkill (your call). GMG sells the spin-on bases, filters and water separators...We also have an odd lot of 2 fuel cannisters here...

    MEP 002A and 003A

GMG has glow plugs (Onan 333-0107) and fuel injectors (Onan 147-0136) GMG (Green Mountain Generators) stocks these...We hunt around all the time for NOS to keep these units running. They, unfortunately, are not cheap, but a lot easier than tapping a new port to accept a more common size...

    MEP 002A and 003A

I am chatting with Chuck. I think he simply picked up the wrong information from SteelSoldiers.com and placed on his site. It seems that DRX00042K is a good fit, but it is NOT a replacement for Champion 182 or CH42. GMG will carry these very soon and I have ordered 18 units of milspec ones...

    MEP 002A and 003A

Folks, The following Champion Glow Plug is NOT a fit for the MEP-002A or MEP-003A units. It's too small. You need to buy the kit: Onan Glow Plug Kit: 333-0107 (replaced 333-0104). The Champion glow plug: #182 (or CH-42) does not fit. It's expensive. I am researching aftermarket kit. GMG
