Figured I'd update. I finally got the toolbox welded on the trailer......and dented my freaking truck with it. I was used to jack knifing the trailer and watching in the mirror for the parking brake handles to come within a couple inches of the bedside and knowing to stop there. That allows me...
So i took the trailer on it's maiden voyage this weekend hauling the boys dirt bikes and some gear . Worked out great!! I like having the side boards and gates on, makes it to where someone can't just walk by and snatch a pair of expensive boots or other gear.
Found that the armor dome light...
I ran across it here on the forum. Made a comment in a post that I'd like to have a couple of them and someone PM'ed me that they had a couple for sell and I bought them.

My worry with the tabs is loading dirtbikes. After a long ride and Im wore out, my truck and this trailer is too tall off the ground to load them and step into the truck without using a step - its risky about dropping one over. So, I ride them up into the truck on the ramp in the pics earlier...
FINALLY!!! Took your advise and put a meter on each wire and found that the pin-out I had found on the web was wrong on wire color / circuit #. Tested both plug harnesses that I had cut and found that they were even different. aua One had come from my M116A3 and the other came on the M101A3 -...
These freaking Mil plug harnesses are driving me nuts. Took a second one apart tonight - the new one that came on this trailer. Wired it up to the 7-pin plug same as I had the other plug harness and it's acting all goofy. LH turn makes both tail lights blink, RH turn makes the LH tail light...
I've been chasing an electrical prob for the past week. When I'd turn on the backup lights on my truck sometimes the trailer backup lights would work but if I was driving down the road it'd blow a fuse. Then I noticed when I turned them on the running lights on the trailer would light up and the...
More than anything to hang the chain hooks on to keep them up off the ground - like on the M105's. That's one thing I've missed about the M101/116 series trailers.

Got the armored dome light mounted today, gotta get some more packard connectors and wire loom before I can finish the install. Goofed up on the location of the top mounting holes and had to cut out clearance notches in the ribs on the middle board to install the nuts. Oh well.
Clearanced the...
Loaded the bikes up today to see how the spacing was going to work out. I think the ends of the bars *may* rub against the tarp when I put it on, but don't think it will hurt much if they do. I'm really going to like this as a dirt bike trailer.
Also needed to load them up to get the...
I set one up on the fender to see what it would look like but I thought it looked odd, and I don't want to drill holes in the fenders. I may mount them flat against the front of the bed on either side of the toolbox or may mount them in the rear corners of the bed.

Didn't get to do much today other than cut the trailer cable plug holder off the frame and mock up where the tool box is gonna mount. Doesn't leave much room for the fuel can mounts, I'll have to rethink where to mount them.
I've always missed the grab handles on the M105 trailers when working...
Got the backup lights mounted today. They look good hanging under the trailer, need to hit them with some green camp though.
I've got backup lights under the rear bumper of my truck that are controlled by a factory button on the dash. I ran a jumper from them down to the brake controller pin...
Got some more progress made today. Picked up two work lights from NAPA to use as backup lights. Made some joining brackets from the strips I had cut off the d-ring backing plates. I am going to mount them using the lift points on the rear of the trailer. Like to have never got the nuts off those...
Got the D-rings installed today. They look better than I thought they would installed. You can see how the backing plates overlap the floor supports, I think they'll be plenty strong enough.
Got some new chain installed for the tailgate, much like was posted earlier except I replaced the whole...
Got up this morning and started working on the trailer. Found that the inside height with tarp on is not going to be tall enough with the full size dirt bikes in it so looks like Im gonna have to raise it up a few inches. Also found that some of the top bows are bent and need straightened out...
Picked the trailer up today and was glad to find that it is in excellent condition! Rebuilt in July '09 and doesn't look like it's ever moved from it's parking spot! Tires still had the tits on all the tread and underside of trailer is as clean as the inside. Very happy with this one for sure...
Well we landed in Alexandria about midnight tonight. Gonna go do the loadout about noon tomorrow.
I got the D-rings off the UPS truck yesterday. They look plenty heavy duty enough to hold anything ill have in the trailer. The bolt holes in the backing plates could have been lined up to the...
Well I went with the D-ring mounts I posted a link to earlier. Think I'm gonna put 3 across the floor in front and maybe 3 across in the middle. I'll figure that out once I get the bikes in the trailer and see where they need to be.
Was lucky enough to catch Westy's classified ad for LED tail...
