Beside the tacky paint, consider the gear box's and diffs. Unless you have drained and flushed each you have no idea what's inside or condition.
This GamaGoat I'm working on is a great example. The rear diff holds 5 pints of 80-90 gear lube. I drained nearly 2 full gallons of highly acidic oil...
