    Pros and cons of Battery Equalizer / Dual alternator

    Ref: Patrick's schematic above. Be careful with this arrangement and don't use it when the engine/alternator is running. Switching the alternator load off will create some serious voltage spikes (load dump) and possibly kill the regulator .
