    also check the ground that hooks to the light in the harness with a ohm meter should be < 1 to the frame

    take a volt meter and see what the voltage is going to the light some thing is not right!!

    You are putting in 24 volt lights right... not 12 volt. Is it really bright then goes out?? If you had a bad ground the light would be dim or no light at all
