Just get it to JT and I'll read it off his site(save it from there.

No real progress today other than, I cleaned off the floor hump and repainted it solid OD green. I may paint my own indications on the floor later, but for now I'll stick with confirming lever position by looking at the lock-out notch, and the dash data plate.

No need to apoligise. The older I get, the more reminders I need. BTW, Amy brought the new drive shaft home tonight. I still need the new end that I ordered. I cut a piece of the old shaft and it was .083" wall thickness. My new shaft is supposed to be .120" This, was on the invoice...

This am I called Fleet Pride and they instantly told me I needed to talk to the manager. He said they "cannot" make my shaft. It is too long for a 2" shaft. He asked my rpm and HP. I asked him to measure my old tube, and simply make it the same or heavier walled. He said he would not do it. He...

I noticed today, my stop bolts are different on either side. One looks like the square headed bolt shown in the Parts TM, and the other looks to be a standard grade 8 hex head bolt. I'll measure the settings of them soon, and compare that to yours. Thanks

When the cable broke, there was about 25' on the drum. It is obvious to me now, the cable broke because of the dragging over the rounded edge of the trolley frame. There are serious scrapes in the frame now(and were not there before). There is no sharp edge near that hole. This was the...

OK, so here's where I went wrong! I looked at and followed the instructions painted on my floor(not the data plate on the dash). My floor is painted so that I did not see the word IN, with the seat down. In the pic below, the seat is flipped up, revealing the other arrow and word IN. I was...

While I was pulling the cable in, the drum was rotating counter clockwise(as you look at the pic above). After the cable broke, it did not matter since I had the trolley not in use. So, I was clearly running the winch back wards! I need to go look at the TM and my in cab labeling next.

I have determined why the trolley/level-winder did not work properly and the cable built up on the end of the drum and snapped. I had a thought today as I was driving to the drive shaft shop. What if, when I had the drum spooled out completely to get rigged up, I mistakenly had run the...

Well, I just found a source for the end that was damaged. I'll call the shop tomorrow and see what they found and ask if they want me to supply them with that end. As for the wall thickness, I think they implied that they only had one thickness available in that diameter. So a clean cut and...

Well, Today I took the PTO shaft to the "local" Fleet Pride shop. They looked at it and said they'll get on it. A few things we noticed were, the U joint ring was dinged pretty good from the flailing that occurred so they suggested we will need to replace the end that the shear pin goes...

Today, I looked at those trolly stops. Mine has them and they are out about 2". I Came to the same conclusion(before posting this thread) that Spicergear has). I want to see what he has done to correct that issue. Squirt truck, are you saying you have no issues with your level winder and are...

Well, I found I was missing TM9-2320-260-34-2 TM. Looking there, there is a chapter on the trolley and rebuilding it. I still do not see an adjustment procedure or a technical description on setting the stops.

Found this, just replacement. No adjustment listed. I don't see anything in my -34 Tm.

That is visible in post 1, pic 8. That's the side it built up on also. I'll look it over closer tomorrow. Is there mention of adjustment in a TM?

No, that is my next door neighbor. He is 81 and served in the Air Force from 51-54. He likes my MV stuff and often comes over to see my newest purchase or what I am fixing. He followed us down to the channel, to look the situation over. His experience/suggestions have helped me more than once...
