Thanks for everyones advise. This was an easy mod. The muffler tucked right in behind the safety screen. I got this from a SS member this past winter. I also took delivery on a snorkel from another member complete with the double clamps. The whole mod took 1 hour to install with minimal tools...

Do you all think the large black muffler on the previous page or master-Chief's system is quieter..? I like Master-Chiefs set up, looks clean, the huge one before his write up looks like it would be way quieter. I like them both. HMMMMMMMMMMM...?

I met a Youper this weekend, Camp9. He just got a 1998 5 ton. This truck was amazing and I paid special attention to the stock muffler system.I think I am going that rout along with the recommendations of A/C Cages on the lizard skin. I am guessing this is the best I can do on the quiet tip.

Thats a good ideia, I like the baffel system. This way you keep the origional exchaust system. I am going to go that rout first. I think this baffel can be used on other applications as well.

There is something to be said about hearing yourself think and passenger communication w/o hearing protection. IMHO there is nothing wrong with this particular mod non original exhaust equipment to deaden sound. From all the comments I have read this mod does not take away from the ascetics...

IMHO; I believe it is wise to not let the public hear you coming or going so I am going on the quiet tip and will be installing a muffler on a multi-Fuel. Every truck I have with the exception of a civi truck is Diesel. They all have a muffler system and run excellent. The civi diesel trucks...
