    Most add oil to mitigate any negative effects of the low lubrication of todays modern fuels. You wont kill your engine if you dont but you may take some hours away from its service life. This subject has been discussed to death. Just do some browsing and all your questions will be answered.

    The other concern with gasoline is the octane, you dont wanna run high octane gas through a deuce. How much you have to dilute gas with motor oil or the like to lower the octane to the same as diesel, I do not know.
