    The only thing that is "dirrerent" in an isolated ground alternator is the fiber washers and mounting bolts for the internal rectifier. Also the "ground" stud. The rotor, stator, regulator, brush holder, capacitor, etc are all the same as the regular 27si. You can even make a regular civvy...

    The DL7151 will "work" on the driver side only. It is NOT a direct replacement for the stock "isolated ground" alternators. It WILL NOT work on the passenger side unless you want to see alot of fireworks and dollars flying out of your wallet.

    I have always been under the impression that the stock CUCV alternators where 27SI type 100 units. They where used in the medium duty trucks. The type 200 where used un the heavy duty trucks.
