Made it home. Thanks to a field expedient zert mod to the hub plates and 2.5 tubes of grease (the grease went somewhere in the hub I can't attest to exactly where). The hubs and wheels were cool as a cucumber the whole way home. Some people do word searches, i make irrational recoveries...

Back on the road as of 2045. Thanks to all. It could have been a hanging brake or the waxy grease, or a bad case of old and wore out. If I don't make it home the next post may be where to pick up a free trailer in north Georgia.
