Ive had that problem, and found the cure was to remove the switch, dissemble it and CLEAN the (burnt (corroded)) Contacts. then with a little switch cleaner also and some electrical "lube" re-build" the switch and all was working fine again.. If you take suitable electrical tools you could do...
