Two fully charged batteries are enough to start a cucv 3 times and run about 10 hours with lowbeams on, even if your charging system is completely INOP. (Ask me how I know :) )

I went to test drive a pretty good looking M1008. Jumped it and got it running. Drove it about a mile down the road and it died, showing 3/4 of a tank. Poured abut 10 gal of diesel in it and tried to restart it. Starter bolts snapped off in the block.

Might I suggest a hammer also? If you go into water, frequently the truck will flip and put you on the bottom inverted. It takes a while for the truck to fill and allow you to open the doors. Note that you're head down, so you go under before the truck fills. If you have a hammer you can break...
