PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Did you guys see what that M923A2 with the MRAP training body went for on GL? 99,500! Mike you better keep working on that truck. :)

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

I counted 35, plus trailers at the display and parade. Never did do a real count at Aaron's, but would estimate, plus or minus 45. P

Napavine 3 I tried to not duplicate pictures but you will see some variations of the same vehicle. It isn't too often that you see an expansible van going down the street with its sides out. This will be the last batch of pictures from me for this event. Check it out next year.

Napavine Parade display 2013 First off, if you haven't been to this event before and you wondered if you should, get there. Aaron and Amber are the best hosts that one could imagine for an event such as this. Not many of us have a place that we could host 40 or 50 MV's let alone make sure that...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

If you guys can give me a buzz when you are ready to pull out of exit 99 southbound, in case everyone is there and you go a few minutes early, 360 870 0706. James we expect anyone that wants to do the parade to do it and we will have a space for everyone that wants to pull in and show for a...

Move in Night Here are a few pics of some of the preliminary attenders to this event. Missed a couple of them but you get the idea. Took the M54 out to Aaron's tonight and on the way on I-5, right where it turns from 2 to 3 lanes, had someone decide to pass me on the right. I had my signal on...

Mike, do a rolling slow down and it would be nice depending on lineup if something big was bringing up the rear. I really hate being on the freeway at 40 - 45 with a WW2 jeep. But for some reason, people give plenty of room to the 5T. Whatever happens, we will make it work.

Add Exit 81, southbound on ramp, at 0645, two WW2 jeeps. You guys should be there about 0650 or so. See you Saturday morn. P

There is always the old volunteer method, you, you, and you, with me! We might have an extra WW2 jeep or two to kick in the mix. Showing the variety of vehicles is a great idea.

That sounds like a game plan. I will pass it on to the 1st Sgt. He will be coming across on 93rd ave. which is the overpass, so he will turn left and wait. There isn't much room, but there is some, on the on ramp, as I have waited there before. Most likely I will catch you guys at Exit 81...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Mike, could 1st Sgt. Gifford tag along with you guys, meeting at Exit 99 at 0615? His only limitation is that he will be driving his 43 CCKW and it only does about 45. He doesn't want to slow you guys down, but wouldn't mind some back up in case something happens. He is not on this site and I...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

I would say if we have volunteers that wish to do the parade. I am thinking of doing the display only as I will be setting other display items out. At the end of the parade, everyone that wants can come set up in the display area as well. This is a good point Mike. Perhaps we set the display...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Is anyone bringing a display with or other than their MV's for Saturday morning. In discussion with Aaron last weekend, we were thinking 10 or so vehicles for the parade and the rest, that would like, on display in the grassy field in front of the grocery store in Napavine. We will figure out...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

We would have to defer to Aaron on this, but the basic rule is no shooting at the event. Weapons that go with a particular vehicle or display would be okay. No live ammo in display areas. this would include the display that we intend to do in town. Aaron's place is in a rural but fairly...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

I talked with Aaron on Saturday at the Egg Day parade in Winlock. He was explaining what the Napavine Fun Festival people would like from us this year. His idea was that part of us would go in the parade and part of us would set up a display area there in town. We need to get with them and...

PNW-2013-Fifth Annual Chehalis River Valley M/V Convoy & Campout

Count me in. I will be doing a display for the USO the night of the 19th, but will be in and out of the event as possible. You might also count on me to work on the display portion of the event. What time will we be breaking down the display? Will their be provision for lunch for troops that...
