Not important but just curious, red: - Plasma cutter? - Or "old school" oxy-acetylene?

Caked with mud and some rust signs, but look sound (to an unpracticed eye). Are you replacing mostly for the "greaseable" feature?

I don't know tires much, but based on just a recent purchase for one of our cars here, that sounds like a pretty good price. Is that new rubber?

Sorry to read here about your bad luck, red. That's no fun at all. That has got to be some SERIOUS stress to shear those diameter bolts in that quantity. I mean I'm no metallurgist or truck mechanic, but right?!

I always thought it was just a figure-of-speech, but: - Your friend is apparently an ACTUAL "block-head"! The world never ceases to amaze.

It almost looks like there's a fuse INSIDE those connectors, they're awful long. Are those just standard crimp-on connectors?

Stuff happens. You wish it wouldn't but it does. Sorry to hear about the bad news.

Curious about those cables, red, are they UV-protected? What I mean is, are they prone to weakening and damage while exposed to the sun on the drum?

So you mean 5" overall, right (2-1/2" wider on each side x 2)? I'm remembering that there's some federal width limit (8 foot?). That's still legal isn't it?

Over here where I'm sitting, it doesn't seem all that hard. Darn. Where's that popcorn emoji when you need it?!

Hey, Mr red, I'm not picking up on the drain valve on that underslung drain/ return connection. I'm likely missing something. How does the tank get drained there?

That was a lot of work. And you did a real good job of it. [thumbzup]

Very cool, is that THE Devil's Tower in the background of your yard?! And PS, how did you "scalp" and re-build the hood, did you weld it all up?

How does that first section of the two-part fitting work: - Does it have female threads that bite into the end of the hose?

It's ALWAYS easier to think it through, and flip the ideas back one-at-a-time in your head, then to build it wrong and have to undo the build. The design stage is the best stage to make all your mistakes. They're a lot less painful that way for sure.

    That's pretty slick!
