Chief I do not currently have access to my big computer and all that data is not stored in my
increasingly forgetful gray matter. If I remember I will follow up here...
NHC-250 COMPRESSORS;
The military compressor is a #4311, I am told the civilian replacement is a #4409. I am told the #4409 has a duty enhanced clutch on it. If I wanted a compressor today to match the NHC-250 bracket this is what I would look for. I see one on ebay now. I might suggest that...
Here is a pic of the power steering pressure line that is 3" longer then stock. I also extended the 1/2" ID return hose, I did not measure its additional length, I just bought a 3' section and connected it at the bottom w/ 2 clamps where they like to leak and laid it parallel to the pressure...
I have extended both my power steering pump lines. I took the pressure line and had it duplicated but extended 3" . I bought a 3' section of 1/2" ID return hose I have yet to replace as well. I also pulled the 1" spacers on the rubber fender well brackets I added, the jury is still out on my...
For hardware I might suggest two ½ x1-1/4" bolts with lock washers and one 5/8x1-1/2" bolt with a lock washer. The tightener, maybe a 3/8" bolt w/ 2 heavy washers and a nyloc nut. Do your do-diligence.
My truck gets HOT inside it, and I always have to drive home INTO the sun living on the west coast. I get COOKED. I want a MASSIVE unit, as big as my compressor will push to just bombard me w/ cooooolllllllll airrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............................Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Yes Lonnie, I am right here, and clarifying for you, I am "building" an A/C system for my M925A1 as well as many others in this thread on different trucks.
Sure, when I get some time I will pull the 1" spacers and shorten them up as much as possible and let everyone know what I did. I am betting a 3/4" spacer will do it... I also ground off the THICK PAINT on the inner rubber fender well tangs and they go in and come out a lot easier now.
So today I was buttoning up the truck ready to head to the desert and I went to install the Drivers Side Rubber Inner Fender Well Rock Guard deal and there was a small conflict w/ it hitting the A/C compressor. I pulled the brackets that the Fender Well slips into and put in 4- 1" long spacers...
Listen up those who have NOT PM'd me a request for parts, YOU WILL NOT GET ANY PARTS UNLESS YOU PM ME A REQUEST . You messin' up my system! All those who PM'd me now have a price and instructions, just sent via PM.
OK I am now 100% sure of myself. This video is my M925A1 which is the same as an M923. Today I mounted the A/C compressor using my brackets and it is all good to 2100 RPM ! I need a lil time gents, hang on, no one forgotten I promise. This ROCKS! http://youtu.be/_qYScvHulJI
If you want the parts you need to send a PM please. Also remember this forum does not allow price talk except in classifieds. I am serving those in this thread first. argghhhh! I hit return and nothing happens!
I believe there is enough for all in this thread.
I am not gonna sell them till I am 100% on what I have.
At this second I am 95%.
I need a couple of belts, time and some hardware. When this compressor
is in and spinning and I am SURE of things I will help others for SURE.
I will prob even...
ohboyohboy!... I am VERY excited here. All this looks correct...
I need a lil time...
Looks like you will need 2- .375 x 4.5" long bolts to hold the bracket to the compressor.
SWEET!
I just went outside and looked at installation of
this mount. Looks like you have to have "in hand" the
compressor ( of which I supplied a believed NSN in this thread prior)
and 2 longer belts, of which I think you can see the belt'number in prior pics
posted in this thread. Then it loooks like...
