    If I really needed higher gears and never used 4X4, I would remove the front drive shaft (between front axle & t-case) and just run it like a 2 wheel drive with higher gears only in the back. That way, after I had the cash for a trans swap or proper re-gear for both axles, I wouldn't have to...
