Ya know, for $1000, you could probably find one of those rare 24v/12v alternators. has both outputs. Just a thought.

Saw you had questions still about the evil lights. You may have them fixed already, but here's my two cents. (for free). If you have zero dc power, check the thermal breaker front of box, outside kinda inbetween cab and box. runs straight to battery from there. This should be powered. Next...

Tell Jason to keep us informed. Rescue teams are standing by! Hope it's just your oil pan. Check your leaky tire around the fittings going from the big valve stem to the ctis valve. Mine had very loose connections with no teflon tape. Pretty easy fix. Keep plenty of water with you (a...

When you check the leak, you may have to look from the top to see the front main bearing area. I am hoping that is not it because the oil pan seal is a breeze to change. Mine was the factory stock, still had paint on the bolts. You can get the seal from any cat dealer, about 25 bucks I think...

Glad to hear its going at least ok! Ok, try disconnecting the passenger side wiper, and see if it reduces the drag enough to keep it running. If you can, remove the rod inside the cab to it I case that's the sticky part. If that doesn't help, you're pretty much stuck with what you got...

I should just go with! Ok, another 2 cents. Your soft top is well insulated, and if its in good shape fab up a roof rack using some cast iron pipes. Then you can load it up for travel, or cover it for snow load/ insulation. Poles attach to the back of the cab and passenger front of...

Well, it's time for us to have that little chat. This is usually done by someone who seems like they just want to avoid answering your questions, but in this case I'm going to do both. Read your TM's. If you don't have your Technical Manuals yet, better get a hold of a copy or two. Jatonka...

Nope, not a ton of experience, I just pay attention when everyone talks. Of course, some of that was my experience, so I paid attention when I talked. :-) You'll do fine!

I'll add a couple of things. Your box is wired for 24v and 110. Mine had a converter in the box, which it looks like yours does too. If you put 110 energy saving bulbs in the ceiling, it barely touches the battery. I have a 40,000 btu diesel heater in mine, it will keep your toes toasty, and...
