I wasn't trying to be negative. I already have the March rally dates marked off for next year. I was just pointing out that our Texas society revolves around those two things in the fall, even if we don't take part in them.
Football and deer season kind of take up every weekend for most people Lincoln. I don't do either, but Scouts and a M715 gathering out in Camp Wood have me doing something just about every weekend until mid November.
Now, just a day gathering somewhere once it gets cooler out would be great.
The guy that runs the museum is a neat guy. He bought a Coot from Pistolnut a year or so ago.
There is also a M35 for sale on Nichols Saw Mill road about 1/2 mile out of Magnolia and just a little past the school on the left side of the road. Kind of ruff, but runs.
One unique item this park had was a truck wash. Actually, it was a big water hole with a gravel bottom. Since the park used to be a gravel quarry, it kind of makes sense though. We got our tires, rims, axles and frames all covered in mud playing and then were able to drive through the wash...
Well if Rory and Scott aren't coming, I ain't going either.
Well, not really. Sure going to miss you two. I guess we can sit around and talk at Temple.
I don't know about everyone else, but I plan to get up, load up and head out Sunday morning since I have to be at my grandmothers 92nd b-day in Houston later in the day.
Charles, you still have my number from the airshow, right? Call if you need anything. Steve, Kwai, plans to be coming up...
The park web site says the trails are closed due to all the rain. It isn't going to get better this week either:
Announcements
Have they said anything to you about us still being able to even be there?
It is pretty easy for you Scott. Take 21 to the old Bryan AF base which is now called the Texas A&M Riverside campus where you will take Texas 47 South. The park is about 5 miles from there on the right or West side of the road. If you go over an over pass, Villa Maria, you went about 200...
Colton and I will be there. M35A2 camping/towing unit and M715 for playing.
Hey, we are down to $80 per family unit already. We just need around 20 more people.
