    Just topped off. Only got 18.6 mpg running 60-63 mph for 260 miles. I can smell a little diesel from the IP throttle shaft every know and then. Guess the IP is next. I was getting 20-22 a year ago.

    I really haven't done that much to the 1009 lately. Except drive it. 130 miles last weekend pulling a Scout trailer and hauling 4 Scouts to and from a camp out. 260 miles this week to and from a teacher conference for me. All with no trouble. 16.7 mpg with the pretty darn heavy 5x8 box...

    I replaced all 4 front door hinge pins and put new door latch post on with the little plastic cover. Drivers door opens and closes with no effort or noise. Colton did the passenger side and it still takes a bit of a push to latch all the way. Not near as much as before though.

    BFG 33 x 12.50 AT tires went on yesterday. No more shakes above 62 mph, looks better, is way more stable at speed and hopefully, the mileage will stay about the same running a few mph faster. Replaced all the filters and fluids a week or so ago. The Transmission drops down to 1st when I am...

    Another month and more stuff done. Rebuilt starter, new rear battery, new battery cables, rebuilt speedometer so it actaully shows how fast I am going and doesn't bounce anymore. Cleaned up all the connections on the gauge panel so all the lights actually work now. Fixed the fuel sender wire...

    The last two months have seen a rebuilt alternator, 2 new brake calipers, 2 new wheel cylinders, turned rotors, repacked front bearings, dash pad installed, gauges installed and working, civi center console, drivers vent window fixed and just today, a hand throttle installed. Pretty fun truck...
