    Allison transmission code 55-17 - Solved

    5517 code is a shift solinoid error...according to allison. My issue also came on when switching from D to R, but I threw a 5517 code and tried trans fluid level, temp was not an issue, i was already overheating the trans (the light was coming on). trans overheating is a symptom of bad shift...
