Thanks for the tip......was thinking along the lines of evaluating a swap of the NP 208 for an NP205.....will think about this.

Had a local mechanic do this for me......also replaced oil pan gasket in the course of this work......I'll ask about seal for harmonic balancer.

Not sure what "worse than expected" looks like, but see below for pics of my old harmonic balancer.....doesn't look good to me.

Will do.......thinking this will be a journey to correct/improve several things on my unit, so will take before/after pics to document.

I'll be replacing motor mounts and transfer case mounts (ordered from ORD) along with the harmonic balancer to first make stationary my drive train, and then yes on to replacing seals for transmission and transfer case, which were no doubt negatively affected by drive train vibration...

I should have a shipping notice shortly for my alternate source.......when I spoke with Amazon this morning they were indicating the part was on back-order.

You and I are basically on the same plan! Please report how it goes with replacement of harmonic balancer and if that eliminates the vibration at idle.....I have the exact same symptom, I think.... I have 285/75/16's on my truck currently, which are fine for the rear, but a little tight in the...
