There has to be quite a few owners in your area. Suggest you start a new thread... Maybe call it "Help! Deuce Newbie in PA wants to learn about Deuces", or something like that. & in the body of the post say that you are considering buying a Deuce, but you want to look at a few "good ones"...

How far are you willing to travel to pcik-up a Deuce?? Farther south often = less rust.... ....not always though as they do tend to get moved around during their years of service!

Has anyone ever put an OD trans in a Gasser?? I'm wondering how it would perform at speed. OBVIOUSLY it would be lacking power, but the top end might be raised to normal highway speeds.... EVEN IF ONLY FOR going downhill! IF we could only find a way to boost the power of the gasser.... (I...

What do the fenders look like under the hood? Early Gasser fenders are a different shape than MFs. The Pass side inner fender is often roughly cut away to make room for the Turbo & exhaust. PICS of the engine bay would help..... OF COURSE it could have had later model MF fenders...

Yeah, that BarsLeak stop leak and similar products do tend to plug more than just leaks. Although they might stop a small leak they also tend to plug up heater cores, radiators, and other areas of your cooling system. MIGHT be an option IF you are stranded somewhere & need to limp it home...

So it was in gear, xfercase engaged, foot on the brake, stepping on the accelerator, & the engine just revved, but no forward motion?

What did you mean when you said "We checked it out and the Front axel was not spinning."?? Was the xfercase engaging the front axle? Were the rear axles spinning? or did something make you think the clutch malfunctioned??

It only leaks radiation becuz it is brand new. Once the radiation ages a bit it will enter its half-life and stop leaking! Sorry, I couldn't resist either!! :-P
