    IMO you’re in luck that they separated the water manifold / crossover and the intake part of the manifold when they designed the engine. Just imagine having to swap out the entire intake manifold.

    I would use an item called a Keensert if you need to drill it out to the next larger size. IMO its better than a helicoil. It looks like this and its a solid adapter from the size you drill and tap and will repair back to the original threaded hole size...
