I finally got the title for the trailer, finished doing the service I wanted to do on it, & cleaned/tested everything one last time before I wanted to have it ready to list. It's a gem!
I ended up moving this one onto a M116A3 trailer. Going to clean it all up a bit & complete to trailer kit, covert the trailer to 12v, and list it for sale like that I think. Been dragging my feet with everything else going on. Market is kind of flooded with the people buying them & putting the...
I finally painted it. All ready to sell!
I used CARC tan substitute, replaced the door seals, and used my new stencil kit that I got from @Evil Dr. Porkchop
The batteries in there are new now, not the older ones the came with it as well.
Yeah, I'm happy about it! I'm going to put this one on a trailer now I think, and put the one I've had on a trailer for years on a nice deck out at my off grid place.
Small steps to make things easier.
Well, put the new fuel sender in. Wasn't it! But, here was the process...
You have to set the new one up to match the old one. Takes a little while, but nothing major.

Before you remove the old one, make a mark to where the orientation is, and...
I should have added above, here are some links to the filters I ordered;

So, after about two hours, I found the issue. Probably was the problem all along.
I didn't take a picture, but it was the 90deg 4an fitting at the fuel pickup. I don't recall loosening it at all, but it was loose. So, it was sucking some air. Tightened it up, let it purge, and it ran fine...
Well, I was hoping that this project would be done, but it taking a not so fun turn. Hoping it's something simple.
Replaced filters. As I was letting it prime up, the electric pump made some bad noises. It was the original, and the square ones are not the best, so I figured I would change it...
Yes, I fabricated it for the LMHC on my LMTV since I need to get the generators as close to the boom as possible to get in the bed as it's a small crane.
Honestly, I have only used it to tug, but will be testing it soon. No doubt it will work great. Made from all scrap stuff.
Will share a...
So, Got it all back together. I managed to drive the bearing on a bit more.
Put everything back the way it should be. Used a take off, much nicer cover for the generator head that was from a part out unit. I think I mentioned that I saved it earlier in the thread.
Used new hardware along the...
So, got the bearing on. But, it's not on quite as far as the other one was. I'm not sure if this is an issue though. To me, it seems like it can be the way it is, as long as it is making contact fully on both surfaces of the bearing to make support.
NOTE: In the picture, it's sticking slightly...
It would sequel from time to time.
I plan to put the bearing in the end of the housing first, then push it on the shaft all as one unit, that is why I put it in the freezer. So in that case, it is the inner part.
Well, over the past few days, I started working at the bearing change out. Besides annoying, not that bad.
Got everything exposed, then off in a total of a few hours. Some of the body hardware needed to be cut off. Stainless wasn't used it seems. Got a puller set from Harbor Freight Tools...
