    installing a batt. disconnect switch

it depends on how you wire it. If you wire the converter straight to the battery, then yes, it can (if it isn't done with some type of relay). If you wire it so that the negative side of the converter is on the DC shunt, (basically grounded to the chassis as opposed to the battery) then it will...

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

I agree with Action. The only way the batteries should drain with a battery disconnect on the negative is if something else is hooked up into the system causing a drain.

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

I have a 12V circuit going to my 7 pin RV trailer plug (30 amp fused), but that's the only thing there. I do have my dash camera hardwired to the batteries, bypassing the battery disconnect completely, but it doesn't ground anywhere in the truck so a non-issue.

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

I have a 4 speed truck with a couple additional 12V loads. Doing just a positive disconnect it won't kill those loads. The other downside I see with this is if the cable gets damaged or something shorts out in the switch then you'll have the positive cable going to ground. Not a likely...

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

It does that for me as well. I can only assume there is some stored power in a capacitor or something that doesn't drain away very quickly until a load is applied.

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

If you are set up as a 4 door, you can do it out the back of the battery box. If keeping as a 2 door, there is a little space directly above the NATO slave plug, or if you want it over by the driver's side depending on what you have installed right now you can do it in place of the deep water...

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

For images you can drag the file directly to the text window, or you can use the "insert image" button (right next to the smiley face button at the top of your text input window) or press "ctrl + P" to bring up the insert image box.

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

Yes, that is what I am trying to say (sometimes words aren't really very good for explaining a concept, but I think we are both saying the same thing here) Here is a little closer picture of the Shunt. The actual nomenclature in the manual might be different, I haven't looked it up. It's a...

    installing a batt. disconnect switch

Remove the battery cable that goes from the negative terminal on the rearward battery to the negative shunt (looks like 2 blocks with multiple thin bars between it, bolted to the side of the battery box) (This is with 2 24 series batteries, but will be the same cable with 6t series, just find...
