Started fresh. Pulled the 454 and had it board out to a 468. Rebuilt with new higher comp pistons and cam. New everything. Got it all installed and working on exhaust now. The truck is running but I want you to see the pic of the engine and how it fits in. You can't see anything with it all put...
And everyone asked why I didn't like the old diesel and swapped it for a chevy 454 gasser. Answer I did about the same thing as the list above and still had issues that were never going to end.
I did a lot of research on other engines. Considering fuel cost don't really play a part and the price of a 454 (free if I scrap the RV it came out of) and future repairs... It all came down to a 350 or 454 gasser. There was no way I was going threw all this work and then be under powered. So it...
Getting close to completing my 454 BIG BLOCK swap. This was so much easier that I could have every thought. I really think y'all would love to have this kind of power. Fun stuff.

Kinda finished my 4 man conversion from the troop carry. A bit of advice for someone who is trying to piece the conversion together.... Just buy the complete kit. You will spend just as much parting it together and its take much longer. Anyhow, one of these days I will get some X doors to go...
