Tip 1: 5/8" NF bolt = fitting saver for those tough ones so the brass fitting doesn't smash.
Tip 2: Tip: add a section of rubber hose here for off-road flex.
The return line Bung leaks. Grind out the solder and weld, or re-solder ? Not much of a solderer.
‘70 fuel gauge is sticky and only indicates 1/4 tank (empty) to almost full.
Ohmed the sensor. 25ohm at bottom, up to 40 at 1/4 tank, back down to 30 then gradually up to 60ohm.
Reckon I need to replace sender and gauge
Guys, I gotta do head gaskets. Blown between cylinders. Full sets are getting rare and $. I already have an exh gasket and gasket material to make intake, etc. Should I spring for the whole set or just the HG themselves? Maybe if the sets are getting rare I should get it for just in case...

Thanks Rusty. I'll shoot it with temp gun next time. I know the others were comfortably warm, but the rear I could only touch for a couple seconds. Didn't smell hot or anything though so probably not real hot.
I'm on here rummaging around trying to find a link I posted with good info, exploded views etc. for the injection pumps. I saw a post by Jeepsinker elsewhere about the smoke cam adjustment and want to see the cutaway/exploded view. Now where did I post that...?
I'm still alive! Anxiously awaiting temps cool enough morning and evening to drive the '70...after I pay the commercial reg, ouch!
Rusty, still bummed we missed our meeting up your way. :-(
3,000# in the bed, trailer was too heavy and too stuck. In hindsight, I should have pulled on the semi truck from pavement.

The donor 2nd and main shaft fit is .006" loose, should be .0045" max, so it's temp until I get new parts from m35tom.
I have a bunch of pics I was trying to upload from my phone yesterday, I'll try to get them up today.
