THUNDER- thanks for the detailed temp feedback on your drives. i was running at 50-55mph on highway, 2550 rpm. with heavy city stop and go before and after. that may explain my higher temps... i'm also a lead foot. my temps seem to stay at 270-275 consistent.

WATERGUY- now that is some really interesting feedback... i'm already starting to suspect the gauges are not as reliable as we'd like them to be. this is the main reason i'm getting a lazer thermometer. if we can measure the pan & hoses, we should get a better idea of what's going on... maybe...

MKTOPSIDE- thanks for the heads up.... very curious that the air horn solenoid draws power from it ... but i guess if the electrical wasn't wired like it is by the military, we wouldn't have as much fun chasing gremlins down. CAMP9- you'll save a ton of $$$ that way in fluid costs. some threads...

PLEASE IDENTIFY THIS PART.... it's mounted on the driver side louver panel next to the air horn. it has a wire that runs to the air horn. it also has a pin connector. i noticed that the mounts on mine are cracked and upon a little closer inspection, the unit fell off the louver panel. since...

THE TM SAYS... 160 - 300º is normal temp range... but i'd rather be around 200º if possible. according to everything i 've read, transynd is supposed to offer higher performance, and is recommended by allison, but so far, i'm not at all impressed with the 275º running temperature and the...

you're welcome WOLFEN. instead of speculation, we need actual TM information.... but here is my further speculation for now. looking at ACEHIGH'S photo, i don't see any shielding mesh around the circuit boards. the only thing that might be hardened in the ctis unit is the microchips themselves...

WOLFEN- at first glance, it doesn't appear the CTIS control box itself is hardened. i haven't read the full schematics on the A3, or popped open the box, but the ctis control box seems to be wired into the power source by a single wire. if you look at the ctis control manifold under the A3 bed...

thank you for the link ACEHIGH to be redundantly clear: A3 wheels and MICHELIN 395/85/r20 XZL tires are NOT advisable because 395's are not MPT bead correct ?
