LDS VS LDT and the real differences

    Got it. Sorry about that.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Sorry. I'll have to find out how to do that.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I have not modified any settings of the IP or engine except to add spin-on oil filter adapters. I changed my fuel filters this summer and they have less than 1,000 miles on them so the engine is getting as much fuel as the IP will allow. It also has the stock deuce air filter. No muffler yet...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Yep. The few times I have run up that hill since installing the pyro it has never reached 1200. That is one of the steepest highway grades you'll find in Kanasa City. I put the pyro on this fall and even at 70 or 80 degrees outside air temp the EGT is about he same. Maybe just a few degrees more...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Here it is... LDS pyro/boost info. I drove the deuce some today and with the help of Soldier B and a camera I got some numbers to report. Since I am a novice at diesel engine workings I will leave it up to the experts on the site to draw conclusions and interpret the data. The outside temp was...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I have a pyro on my LDS. I just installed it a while back. I will try to get some numbers this weekend. Speed, rpm, boost and egt.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I keep my LDS at or below 2,500 also. I would like to see a modern scientific test and analysis of the engine and parts at 2,200 rpm vs 2,500.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

It would be worth the money for a dyno. I wouldn't trust a smart phone for accurate data. There's a lot more data available from a dyno.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I have an LDS and love it. The 40 extra HP do make a difference. Especially on hills. If you will be running up alot of hills I'd wait a little to find an LDS.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Maybe a modest improvement in durability or horsepower is a more reasonable goal. Any part that is stronger would be a big benefit. Fewer holes in crankcases.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Maybe Itrdiesel can start a new line of "performance" parts for the deuce! Modern balanced crankshafts, stronger rods...This could be cool. I look forward to see your results.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Because the LDS puts out a higher volume of exhaust maybe the C and D turbos turn faster and are able to pull a higher volume of air into the engine. I am curious if anyone has done a flow test on the Deuce air filter to how much air can be pulled through it. (Besides the manufacturer or...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Thanks for the heads up. I figured there would be some type of suprise involved. I'm not in a big hurry to install the 5 ton filter so I'll have some time to check things out.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I like those pics, jimk. Those are the best I've seen for showing the difference between the C and D turbos. My deuce (another EUC hostage) has the LDS. I am thinking about getting a 5 ton ait filter housing for it so I can use the LDS air filter. I can mount it on the right fender and through...
