I was looking at the same thread re: shocks and for me it crossed to a Gabrial 85329 which has comparable compresion specs but has twice the extension resistance 1500lbs hopeing it will take some of the bounce out of my front end.
I used 2 1/2 inch flat washers from Fastenal ,they are 1/4 inch thick 5 inches outside diameter .At$5.00 each they are a lot cheaper than having someone cut them out . Lots of air/water and short welds if you go that route , easy to burn the bushings. used small slices of pipe to give more room...
All my bushings are good ,but I wanted safety bars so this is what I did for $60 using 2.5 inch flat washers lots of water /air and short welds.Not the best looking welds ,very awkward to get a good position .Got all twelve ends done this way .
