I have 32 up armored 1100 series HMMWV's currently on my yard that are configured exactly the same as my truck. The difference is, they weigh about 13k pounds versus my 5900 pound truck. The same setup is on HMMWVs and they seem to work just fine.

Just remove the hose between the hydroboost and power steering box and add the winch to the circuit. The only other thing I may do is add a cooler later but right now all is well.

it just becomes a part of the power steering/hydroboost circuit... too easy.

Runs off of the power steering pump. Makes full power when the engine is at idle...

Here's a couple of pics of my winch. My buddy Joe and his guys modified the front brush guard slightly and we ended up getting a 12,000 pound Mile Marker hydraulic HMMWV winch to work perfectly on my M1031.
