    But more tech, means more problems and more cost. No reason you could not rig up some lights. Need to run some extra wire, use some cheap relays.

    Sounds like a good place to start. See if you can recreate the fault. If so, then start at the temp switch, or jump the whole safety chain, TB5-8 to TB5-9. Then run it. If it runs like a charm, and then you remove the jumper, and it dies, then it can only be S4 Temp, or S5 Oil Press.
