When driving in roughplaces, you want to keep the front jack handle in the highest position possable. I have replaced a lot of them, for just that reason. Looks good. Nice way to solve the brake problem.
Make yourself some stools. Just a small work platform you can pickup with one hand, and place it to either side of the tires when doing anything in the set higher then eye level. Just big enough to stand on. Believe me, it helps.
Take a propane torch and lots of liquids to remove the rust on the pintel hitch. Some wil only come off with Man Mountain Dean and a 6 foot cheater. I have screwed up several pintel hitches by stripping the threads.
