Fathers 1966 Craftsman Tecumseh powered lightweight magnesium mower (without all the safety BS) still going strong. Always used high zinc oils and changed yearly.
VW PD TDI diesels eat cam's due to lack of zinc, with your genset firing up at 10F cold plus with these engines racing up to 1800RPM doesn't help either, if It were mine Id use Mobile one Turbo diesel truck Synthetic 5w40 with a Zinc additive.
